Fee rate card: Enhancement fees

Enhanced listings help sellers promote their items by increasing their visibility on Bob Shop. An enhancement fee is charged whether the item sells or not. Different enhancement fees apply depending on whether the item is listed for sale (in the auction or buy now format) or as a classified.

Enhancement fees for items listed on auction or buy now

  1. Premium items: R89.95 excl. VAT (R100.00 incl. VAT). Premium items appear at the top of the relevant category or paid promotion pages.
  2. Home page items: R43.48 excl. VAT (R50.00 incl. VAT). Home page items are displayed on Bob Shop home page.
  3. Category featured items: R8.70 excl. VAT (R10.00 incl. VAT). Category featured items are displayed on the relevant category pages below Premium items.
  4. Priority items: R4.35 excl. VAT (R5.00 incl. VAT). Priority items appear on the category pages, above the regular items.
  5. Highlighted items: R4.35 excl. VAT or (R5.00 incl. VAT). Highlighted items have a tag to make them stand out from other listings.
  6. Bold items: R4.35 excl. VAT (R5.00 incl. VAT). Bold items have a bold listing title.
  7. Promotional category items: R8.70 excl. VAT (R10.00 incl. VAT). Promotional category listing allows you to list your items in a related second category or in a special (seasonal) promotion.
  8. Paid promotions items: R4.35 excl. VAT (R5.00 incl. VAT). Paid promotions enable you to feature your items in the Bob Shop special categories.  

Enhancement fees for classifieds and service-related categories

Certain categories are charged different enhancement fees. 

The following enhancement fees apply to the automotive category, X-Rated category and service listings across relevant categories:
  1. Category featured: R26.09 excl. VAT (R30.00 incl. VAT)
  2. Priority: R8.70 excl. VAT (R10.00 incl. VAT)
  3. Highlighted: R8.70 excl. VAT (R10.00 incl. VAT)
  4. Bold: R4.35 excl. VAT (R5.00 incl. VAT)

The following enhancement fees apply to Property category:
  1. Category: featured R43.48 excl. VAT (R50.00 incl. VAT)
  2. Priority: R17.39 excl. VAT (R20.00 incl. VAT)
  3. Highlighted: R17.39 excl. VAT (R20.00 incl. VAT)
  4. Bold: R4.35 excl. VAT (R5.00 incl. VAT)
