Activating and using Discovery Miles as a payment option

Discovery card holders are able to spend their earned Discovery Miles on Bob Shop. This is a wonderful opportunity for Bob Shop sellers to reach a whole new audience of online shoppers.

For sellers

Sellers can enable this payment method by checking the Discovery Miles payment option on their selling profile. With Discovery Miles, there is no risk of chargeback. We encourage sellers to offer as many payment options as they can, because that way they will be reach a larger audience of online shoppers.

For buyers

You can pay with your Discovery Miles on Bob Shop when buying from sellers who accept this method of payment. Simply filter by payment option when browsing and searching, or look for the Discovery Miles icon in the listing of the item you want to buy.

Tip: You may first want to check your Discovery Miles balance. Currently, 1 Discovery Mile = 10 cents, or 10 Discovery Miles = R1.

During the checkout, select the Discovery Miles payment option and enter the Discovery Miles amount. You will be redirected to Pay-U, where you need to log in with your Discovery Miles details and confirm the amount. After you click Pay now,  you will be redirected back to Bob Shop to your payment confirmation page.
